Why should I buy a GYC Bottle?

For one, your favourite beverages will taste just the same coming out as they did going in, and will maintain their hot or cold qualities for 12-24 hours. GYC bottles also have no linings or coatings, and are 100% BPA-free. Whether the contents are hot coffee or ice-cold water, flavours won’t linger, and the bottle’s materials won’t leach into your drink.

 

What are the advantages of Stainless Steel?

Our 304, 18/8 stainless steel GYC bottle has many advantages over plastic, aluminum and glass bottles.

• Unlike other metals, stainless steel is corrosion resistant and will not rust.
• It is unbreakable.  Unlike a glass bottle which can shatter leaving dangerous pieces of glass around you and your little ones.
• Unlike other alloys like aluminum, your GYC bottle does not require a inner plastic liner.
• Cleaning is simple.  Strong chemicals are not required.  Simply wash with a mild dish soap.
• Stainless steel will not scratch.  Other metals will scratch creating a hiding spot for bacteria.

 

Is it easy to sterilize my children's bottle?

Stainless steel is naturally bacteria resistant.  However, simply use a steamer the same way you would clean any other type of childrens bottle.

 

Does the paint on your bottles contain lead?

No, our paint is 100% lead free.

 

Will the paint on my bottle scratch?

Our bottles will not scratch easily, but they are not scratch proof.  If handled with reasonable care your bottle will look great for years to come.  If you really want to prevent scratches perhaps you should consider the GYC bottle sleeve.

 

Can I put hot liquids in my bottle?

Yes, this bottle is designed to work with both hot and cold liquids without transferring the contents temperature to the outside of the bottle.

 

What are the screens used for?

Our bottles come with two screens.  The one with the fine mesh screen is used to strain loose and herbal tea, while the other is used to strain larger items like ice cubes from blocking the drinking spout.

 

Do your bottles sweat?

Absolutely not!  Our customers tell us this is one of their most favorite features.  Because our bottle is double-walled, it will never sweat and get everything wet in your bag or purse.

  

What is the drinking spout made of?

The lid is made of polypropylene #5. We chose this because it contains zero Bisphenol A. Polypropylene (BPA) and has no known leaching characteristics.

Is the interior of your bottles coated with something?

No, both walls of our bottles are made with 18/8 (food grade) stainless steel and does not require a plastic lining.

 

Can you custom print my company or organization’s logo on the bottle?

Yes, we can print your organization’s logo on the bottle if you order a certain minimum quantity.  “Contact Us” with details and we will provide you with a quote.

 

Can my new GYC Bottle hold JUICE?

Yep. Juice, water, alcohol, ice or any warm or cold liquid – any and all will taste great out of your stainless steel GYC bottle. Our bottles are made from food-grade stainless steel. As long as you care for your bottle by washing, rinsing and drying it after use, what comes out will taste just as it did going in.

 

Can I put my bottle in the FREEZER?

No, we do not recommend putting your bottle in the freezer. For maximum temperature efficiency, we recommend pre-cooling, and pre-warming. Simply place cold (even ice) water or warm water in the bottles, replace the lid, and let stand for five to ten minutes before replacing with your beverage of choice.  Storing your GYC Bottle in the freezer will void your warranty.

 

Can I put my bottle in the MICROWAVE?

No.  Your GYC bottle is not meant to go in the microwave.  Doing so will also void your warranty.

 

How should I CLEAN my BOTTLE?

We recommend washing all of your GYC products with hot soapy water, rinsing well, then air drying with the cap off to ensure the maximum useful life of your bottle. If the bottle has set for some time and needs a really strong cleaning, we recommend mixing white vinegar with baking soda, scrubbing with a bristled dish brush, then washing and rinsing normally.

Before First Use:          Wash with hot soapy water, maybe even a little baking soda mixed in. Put the lid on. Shake-shake-shake. Rinse. Fill. DRINK!

After Every Use:           Rinse with warm soapy water, and baking soda if you like. Let air dry with the lid off.

 

Are your vacuum insulated bottles DISHWASHER safe?

We do not recommend putting your GYC bottles in the dishwasher.

Our products are printed with extremely tough ink. However, we opted for an Eco- friendly ink over one that may withstand the dishwasher better. So even if the logo and coating come off, the bottle is still 100% safe.

We suggest hand washing your GYC bottle.  If your GYC Bottle goes through the dishwasher it instantly voids the warranty.

 

My lid broke. What should I do?

No reason to panic. ‘Contact Us’ and we can discuss your options.

 

I have a repair and WARRANTY question. What should I do?

Before sending any product to Green’s Your Colour, contact us and we will discuss solutions for your issue. If your water bottle repair issue is not covered under our warranty policy, we can usually figure something out for a nominal fee.

 

Where are the bottles made?

GYC bottles, along with nearly all stainless steel sports bottles, are ethically made in China.

 

Can I ship my order to someone else or a different address?

Yes. Orders can be shipped to a different address other than the billing address. During the order process you'll be asked first for a shipping address, the next step will ask for a billing address.

 

How long will my order take to arrive including processing and shipping?

We make the best effort to process orders as quickly as possible. Most orders are processed within three days. Delivery times vary depending on Canada Post and USPS (for our American customers).  Typically orders arrive within 3 to 5 business days of shipping for our Canadian customers.  5-7 days for our American customers.

 

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order is shipped we'll send you an email with the shipping and tracking information. Using the tracking number(s) provided, you can then enter the tracking number(s) into Canada Post or USPS’ website to follow your new GYC order on its journey from our warehouse to your destination.
